I had a great stay at Oyo Hostel Dongdaemun1. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the subway station and close to the lively Dongdaemun night market. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the WiFi connection was reliable. The breakfast spread was decent, although I would have liked more variety besides just bread. I would definitely recommend this hotel for budget travelers looking for a comfortable stay in Korea.

oyo hostel dongdaemun1 was the perfect choice for my recent stay in seoul. the excellent location made it easy to explore the city, and the helpful staff went above and beyond to assist with everything. the comfortable room and delicious free breakfast added to the overall amazing experience.

One small inconvenience was the lack of conditioner provided.

My stay in the Hong Guesthouse was a very pleasant experience. The guesthouse and the bedding is very clean. The dorm was very nice. Inside the dorm there was a separate bathroom with shower and bath gel. The person in charge of the Hong Guesthouse when I checked in was Nemanja Milic. He is very knowledgeable about Seoul and the surrounding area. He is also very efficient and responsible about his job. Any questions or help the guests’ need, he will do his best to provide information and directions. He made us all feel very comfortable and confident about the places we wanted to see. When I stayed there, the last night my sister, niece, and I needed to go to their hotel in Incheon (Inchon). We asked Nemanja how to get there. He was kind enough to call my sister’s hotel (several times since the people working in that hotel were not very familiar with English) to get directions for us. Then he suggested the best way to get there. He brought out a map and wrote done the place where we needed to make connections on the subway. He told us the number and train type we needed to take, and he highlighted the route for us. Then he walked us to the subway station, and helped us carrying their luggage. He made sure we bought the right ticket and got on the right platform. I travel throughout the world for both work and pleasure, and I have not seen anyone as helpful as Nemanja. His knowledge of Seoul, and his consideration for his guests was very nice. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone for its cleanliness and location, but also because of Nemanja’s enthusiasm to help his guest and make them feel that they can depend on him. My thanks to Nemanja for his help, and to the Hong Guesthouse for making my time is Seoul so wonderful.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds were soft with nice pillows. The location was great, very close to the subway station, making it easy to explore the city. I also liked that the staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. the fact that there was a common area with a kitchen and refrigerator was a bonus, as it made it convenient to prepare meals and store food and drinks.

That there were brothels and bars nearby, which resulted in a lot of drunk people in the area. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable, especially when walking alone.

great location in downtown seoul. great stuff,great Atmosphere. good place to meet pepole all around. great lounge on the rooftop,all the facilitys you need for good traveling experince. highly recomended.

The staff was very nice and the location is also quite fine. Basic facilities and rooms, but the price is veryy appropriate.

Easy late night check-in with keys left at reception, payment taken morning after. Rooftop and kitchen facilities, strong wifi and superb heating. Allowed luggage storage after check-out for late flight. Friendly, English-speaking staff carried heavy bags to room and gave arrival and departure snacks. Rooftop offers great view of Namsan tour, games and fresh air. Conveniently located near subway station and bus stop.

The staff was very accommodating and went all the way to make my stay comfortable.

I always keep coming back because this place has everything I need - Wi-Fi, microwave, refrigerator, AC, laundry. The staff helped me with directions on my first stay. Perfect for my city break. No regrets.

The public areas are good. Some of the stuffs can speak very good English.

They have 5 floors and the reception desk and public areas are on the 5th floor which means you have to climb up and down many times. The rooms are really tiny. Air conditioner is very noisy.
